In the early stage of feeding, give it sufficient portion, but it will not be allowed to eat until the feeding time. Clean the food utensils every day and continuously give it enough and clean water. When feeding smaller puppies or dogs to enjoy the weaning period, the food must be mixed with water and softened before feeding. If you feed professional dry dog food or canned dogs, please feed them according to the portion indicated on the product packaging.
Feeding taboos:
1. Do not give puppies the chance to swallow chicken bones, ribs or fish bones because they will stay in the throat and then break. If not in the throat, they will slide into the body and pierce the stomach wall and intestines.
2. Don’t let puppies eat leftovers from people, because their dog’s nutrition needs are different from humans. If you use human recipes to regulate dog food, it will not only take time and trouble, but it will also be difficult for your dog to get a complete and balanced nutrition.
3. Do not give puppies snacks between each meal. If it obeys other training, you can give it a little snack to show encouragement.
4. Remember not to let puppies eat at the dining table, because this will develop bad habits of begging for food. You can only feed specific foods at designated times and places. The food can only be placed in the bowl of the puppy and cannot be fed with other food utensils. Apart from that, don't forget to provide your dog with sufficient and clean water.
Dry dog food should not be mixed with milk, but with clean water. When puppies are six to eight weeks old, most pet owners and doctors do not agree to putting milk into food, because drinking too much milk can cause diarrhea and easily cause digestive problems.
