The Times reported that Newcastle is preparing to buy Leipzig striker Sesco for 70 million pounds, but still insists that Isaac is not a seller.

As the contract negotiations with Isaac are deadlock, Newcastle is interested in Leipzig Red Bull striker Sesco, and the Magpies hope to strengthen the roster for the new season's Champions League journey. Although the new contract negotiations with Isaac have broken down and the players are interested in exploring potential transfers, Newcastle still insists that the player is not a seller. Newcastle executives have firmly stanced, saying they have not received any offer against the Swedish striker. Currently, Liverpool has expressed strong interest in Isaac.

Newcastle is eager to strengthen rather than weaken the roster before returning to the Champions League, and is targeting Leipzig Red Bull striker Sesco, but it is unclear whether they will meet the opponent's £70million asking price until Isaac's problem is resolved.

Leipzig failed to qualify for European war this season, and the outside world believes that they are willing to sell Sesco. Newcastle conducted a comprehensive survey of the 22-year-old Slovenian player and received a high evaluation. Newcastle has arrived in Singapore and will have friendly matches with Arsenal, the Korean K-League All-Stars and Tottenham Hotspur, but Isaac, 25, has not been with the team.

Liverpool said they will only take action for the striker who scored 27 goals last season after receiving a positive response from Newcastle, but this was obviously not the case on Friday. Newcastle firmly reiterated from top to bottom that Isaac is a non-selling product.

Isaac signed a six-year contract when he joined Newcastle for £63 million in the summer of 2022, and the two sides originally planned to negotiate an improvement this summer. By then, Newcastle will no longer be severely bound by the Premier League's profit and sustainable development rules, and can completely break the team's salary structure. They knew that Isaac deserved this special treatment and that a significant salary increase would not affect the stability of the locker room.

So far, however, this has not convinced Isaac or his agent Lemitch to extend or improve his contract at St. James Park. The player is determined to earn £300,000 a week, and he thinks he can get it at Liverpool.

11 days ago, Liverpool contacted Newcastle to ask about the possibility of Isaac's trading, but was clearly informed that the striker was not a seller. However, this did not stop Liverpool from interest. Newcastle, who had lost in the transfer between Joao Pedro and Ekitic, suffered another setback on Friday - goalkeeper Trafford, who had been chasing 12 months and had offered £27 million, joined Manchester City. Newcastle coach Eddie Howe admitted that the transfer window has become extremely difficult.

In addition, Newcastle's previous offer of £25 million for Brentford striker Visa was rejected and no higher offer has been made yet. Their only signing this summer was to sign Ilanga for £55 million from Nottingham Forest.
