According to reports from many Portuguese media such as the Gallery and Records, once Yorke's agent triggers a 10% commission clause, Portugal Sports will claim a full termination fee of 100 million euros in Yorke!
Yorkecres's agent Hassan Chetinkaya has its exclusive right to sell, which contains a clause: If Portugal refuses a offer of more than 60 million euros, 10% of the amount of the offer must be paid to the broker.
This clause was confirmed by Portuguese media and was a request made by the agent when Portuguese introduced the Swedish striker. In the summer of 2023, the two sides signed a contract for five seasons (to 2028), and the termination fee set a record for Portuguese team's history, reaching about 100 million euros.
Once the agent chooses to trigger the clause (this operation is optional rather than mandatory), Portugal Sports will respond and instead require any potential buyer to pay the player's termination clause in full, i.e. 100 million euros!
