Kulicke and Soffa (simplified by K&S) announced today (11th) that it will launch the new generation of precision point-of-sys solution ACELON™, designed for a wide range of semiconductor, SMT and automotive assembly applications, and is expected to be officially launched in March 2026.
K&S pointed out that this new point rubber platform is based on the company's leading wire welding machine architecture. This mature technology has been trusted by top customers around the world for decades and is widely used in key manufacturing environments related to reliability and a large number of production requirements.
ACELON™ provides a more stable production performance to meet the most critical production environment. In addition, ACELON™ has the flexibility to handle larger substrates and complex packaging configurations through a significantly expanded working area. The system provides industry-leading precision with printing accuracy below 20 microns, ensuring that materials can be positioned accurately and consistently in key applications where dimensional tolerances are important.
ACELON™'s key technical advances include automatic calibration, Twin Valve capability, precise positioning and excellent repetition, and AI drive automatic parameter adjustment (APT), which can achieve a 180 micron spill area (KOZ), support higher component density design, and simplify setup programs, reduce operator intervention, and improve the capacity and configuration flexibility of the highest capacity production environment.
K&S pointed out that these major advances can shorten the setting time, improve production consistency, and help customers more effectively respond to advanced packaging production challenges.
