It is expected that AI will continue to contribute to semiconductor industry in 2025, including advanced processes such as 5 nanometers, 4 nanometers and 3 nanometers, as well as advanced packaging technology.
He said that the markets of smartphones, computers and Internet have grown and mild, and the automobile market is weak. However, semiconductor applications will continue to promote advanced technologies, mainly from the promotion of self-driving functions. Currently, most of them use 12 nanometers and 8 nanometers, and it is expected that they will accelerate the promotion to 5 nanometers in the future.
Zhang Xiaoqiang said that the semiconductor industry in 2025 is very healthy and will continue to grow by more than 10%. The semiconductor industry value is confident that it can reach US$1 trillion in 2030. AI will be the main driving force for promoting semiconductor growth. In 2030, the proportion of semiconductor AI will reach 45%, the proportion of mobile phones will be about 25%, the proportion of automobiles will account for about 15%, and the Internet will account for 10%.
Zhang Xiaoqiang pointed out that the Telco A14 process technology is expected to be mass-produced in 2028. Compared with the 2nm process, the A14 speed will be increased by 10% to 15% at the same power consumption. At the same speed, the A14 will reduce power consumption by 25% to 30%, and at the same time, the logic density will increase by more than 20%.
