Taiwan-US chip manufacturing points 50%; CITY: Trump s job cannot be achieved

US Secretary of Commerce Lutnik called for Taiwan-US chip manufacturing to 55 points, attracting high attention. Chen Xinhong, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said bluntly that his ideas were "very unrealistic". Judging from the progress of Taiwan-Electronics' U.S. national construction factory, it is absolutely impossible to achieve the goal of Taiwan-US chip manufacturing in 50% during the term of US President Trump.

When US Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnick was interviewed at the end of September, he reiterated that he would reach a trade agreement with Taiwan. He continued to say that chip manufacturing is 50% or 50% in the country's chip manufacturing, that is, half of the production of the United States and Taiwan. He also proposed a "Silicon Shield" confrontation, believing that only if the US has sufficient local chips can it protect Taiwan.

Chen Xinhong was interviewed before the Chinese Academy of Sciences today and said that the 55-5 cent structure of Taiwan-US chip manufacturing is very unrealistic. First of all, Taiwan currently has three factories in Arizona, the United States, including completed factories, and some are under construction. Even though Taiwan Power promised that the total investment amount of the United States will reach US$165 billion, the new investment plan has not yet been fully started, so it is necessary to reach 55 cents of Taiwan-US chip manufacturing, "I believe that this matter will never be possible under Trump's mission."

Chen Xinhong then pointed out that Taiwan Electric Power is not likely to be replaced at present because Samsung's US factory has not yet been completed. Even if Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Rapidus has 2 nanometers of energy, its location is also in Hokkaido, Japan. If Rapidus wants to enter the US market in the future, tax pressure will also exist.

Based on the above two points of view, Chen Xinhong believes that Taiwan-US chip manufacturing is extremely difficult to achieve.

Executive Yuan Vice President Zheng Lijun went to the United States again to negotiate taxes and returned to Taiwan from the United States in the early morning of the 1st. She was interviewed and said that the verdict team had never made a promise to make 50% of chip manufacturing. She did not discuss this question this time and would not answer such conditions.
